Fraud & Scam Awareness
Protect yourself from fraudulent loan offers, phishing calls, and impersonation scams.
How to Recognize Fraud
Fake Loan Approval Calls
Scammers may call you claiming your loan has been "pre-approved" and ask for a processing fee or advance payment. Legitimate NBFCs like Rajouri HPF do not ask for fees before loan approval.
- Never pay any "processing fee" or "advance EMI" before receiving a signed loan agreement
- Verify any loan offer by calling our official branch number, not the number provided by the caller
- Be suspicious of offers that sound too good to be true (e.g., "0% interest", "no documents needed")
Phishing SMS & WhatsApp Messages
You may receive messages claiming to be from "Rajouri HPF" with links to fake websites that look like our portal. These sites steal your login credentials.
- Always check the URL carefully — our official website is rajourihpf.com only
- Never click on links in unsolicited SMS or WhatsApp messages about your loan
- Rajouri HPF will never send you a link asking you to "verify your account" or "update KYC" via SMS
OTP & PIN Sharing Scams
No legitimate financial company will ever ask for your OTP, UPI PIN, internet banking password, or CVV. These are confidential and meant only for you.
- Never share OTP received on your phone with anyone — not even someone claiming to be a bank or NBFC employee
- Never share your Aadhaar number, PAN, or bank details on social media or unknown websites
- If you've shared credentials accidentally, change your passwords immediately and inform your bank
How to Verify Official Communication
If you receive any communication claiming to be from Rajouri HPF and you're unsure whether it's genuine:
- Call our official branch number listed on this website (not the number in the suspicious message)
- Visit your nearest branch in person with the message/call details
- Email us at [PLACEHOLDER: OFFICIAL EMAIL] with screenshots of the suspicious communication
- Report the incident to the Grievance Redressal Officer: [PLACEHOLDER: GRO NAME], [PLACEHOLDER: GRO PHONE]
